Project #5: GRADIENT MESH

The premise of this project was to recreate a fruit or vegetable of our choice on Adobe Illustrator, recreating the colors and texture in a way that makes it as realistic as possible. I chose to recreate a mango, creating gradients from pinks to yellows to deep reads to greens. The spots of white light from the light were the hardest parts to recreate, blurring them out in a way that make it look natural. The stem was created the same way, with less blur effect, utilizing the pen and eyedropper tools. The texture of tiny dots overtop of the fruit we created made it look as realistic as possible, the final step in creating our fruits.

Project #12: AUDIO

Building off of the previous project, we added audio to our stop motion animations with Garage Band. I wanted my audio to be upbeat and acoustic, giving off calming and peaceful vibes as my animation plays. The different loops I used pair well together, and with the water and glow from the sunset in the animation itself. I started with the ukulele base, followed by percussion to add depth and keep the listeners attention.

Project #7: AUTOSCOPY

This was a fun experimental project in which we got to edit photographs in whatever way our hearts desired in order to get used to and learn about the PhotoShop editing tools. We did simple edits such as adjusting the color hues, saturation, and brightness. We also played with the filter gallery. Some photos ended up looking more like illustrations, but each and every one was unique, using different settings and adjustments in PhotoShop.

Project #4: BUSINESS CARDS

These business cards are made using both logos from the previous project. Our goal was to get inspired by business card designs online, finding aesthetically pleasing or well-layed out designs. We had to provide made-up contact information such as phone numbers, emails, and website to make the business cards look as real as possible.  My first card is sleek and modern, putting the logo on display with tinier contact informations to the side. The second one is a front-and-back model, with a large logo on one side, along with all the contact information one would need, and a matching side with the logo alone. I used thin lines throughout both designs to add an artistic element and make both designs more appealing to the eye.
